The Blue Ridge, Appalachian and Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee are home to some of the best rivers for smallmouth bass and trout fishing in the nation. Many of our float trips take place on the tailwaters of the Watauga River and the South Holston River. The sparkling waters in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Tennessee are great for wade or float fly fishing. Whether you want to fly fish in easy access trout streams or native wild trout streams, we have a trip for you.

You and a friend will be fishing with seasoned guide Evan Dowdy of High Country Angler Guide Services. Our fly fishing float trips are all taken in the comfort of a Stealthcraft Boat. The trout fishing guide trips are done on the tail waters of the Watauga River, South Holston River and Holston River in Tennessee. During your two (2) half day float trips, you will be fishing for Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Smallmouth Bass, and Rainbow Trout. You and your guests will be picked up right at your cabin the morning of the trip!

Your trip for two includes three nights' accommodations. You will be staying in one of 3 authentically decorated and fully equipped Cabins by the River at Meredith Valley Farms. Each individually themed, they are all a perfect escape from the distractions and hustle of daily life. Enjoy a coffee on your front porch waterside, or throw a fishing line in the river, your days will be as full or relaxing as you wish them to be. To wind down the day, the outdoor grills, fire pit, and riverside decks set the stage for an enjoyable evening.
