This 'mola' is a reverse applique textile created by a member of the indigenous Guna people in Panama. Their home is the San Blas islands, which are part of the Guna Yala archipelago off the east coast of Panama. It was purchased in Central America in the early 1980's. The framed size is 17"x22"
