Boys & Girls Clubs' Youth of the Year is a premier event that highlights the accomplishments of our most outstanding Club members. This year, our candidates will be delivering their speeches live the night of the event as we stream for everyone to watch from home.

Introducing Our 2021 Candidates

Cedar Lake Club: Kyle Wroblewski

A three-year Club member who loves basketball and hopes to become a PE Teacher or Coach so he can mentor kids like the staff and the Club. 

Duneland Club: Bailey Ranta

 A Varsity cross-country and track runner who volunteers in her spare time and understands the importance of giving back to her community.

East Chicago Club: Andriana Cobb

A Senior who plans to earn her degree in psychology and become a drug and addiction counselor. Andriana also has dreams of opening her own shelter for those in abusive relationships. 

Gary Club: Marcus Steele

A Senior who plans to study architecture at Purdue. Marcus mentors younger members in the Gary Club and is a Junior Staff Member. 

Hammond Club: Jamarion Evans

A Senior with plans to attend New York University and earn a career in musical theatre. Jamarion gives back through his work as a Junior Staff Member and mentoring the younger Club members.

Lake Station Club: Kaymon Armour

  Planning to attend Butler University, Kaymon currently has Core 40 technical honors and duel credits at Ivy Tech. He plans to one day open his own business after majoring in Business Management.  

South Haven Club: Michael Sarault

A JROTC leader who has volunteered over 200 hours in the past year and plans to major in Engineering.  

Valparaiso Club: Madelyn Frost

Madelyn helps at the Club through tutoring members in math and also volunteers at her church as a Kindergarten mentor. She has a passion for music and plays cello and piano.
