Fort Hall Bottoms

Shoshone-Bannock Tribes Fishing Permit

1 of 2 permits

The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes is providing a Season Fishing Permit to the Idaho Chapter of the American Fisheries Society. Each permit authorizes the lucky winner to chase a trophy trout on the Fort Hall Bottoms from mid-April to late-October, 2021.

The Fort Hall Bottoms includes pristine floodplain habitat and is one of the largest intact wetlands in the State of Idaho, easily providing some of best fishing in the area.

If you've ever wondered where all the guides on the Henry's Fork and South Fork disappear too, well that would be the Fort Hall Bottoms! This unique permit allows you to fish the Snake and Portneuf rivers, Ross Fork and Clear creeks, and that portion of the American Falls Reservoir that lies within the Fort Hall Indian Reservation.

In addition, there are numerous spring brooks including the famous Spring Creek. As many of you are well aware, trophy trout are caught every year in the American Fall Reservoir. The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes limit the number of fishermen permitted to access this blue-ribbon trout fishery and we wish you luck bidding for this awesome prize!
