Connecticut artist James Prosek is an author, naturalist, fly-fisherman and curator. A graduate of Yale University, he currently has an exhibition at the Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, titled James Prosek: Art, Artifact, Artifice. He is also the guest curator of Made in Connecticut, the Connecticut Art Trail's 25th Anniversary Exhibition currently on display at the Wadsworth Athenaeum in Hartford. A contributor to the New York Times and National Geographic Magazine, his books include Trout of the World: Revised and Updated (Abrams Publishers, 2013); Eels, An Exploration, From New Zealand to the Sargasso, of the World's Most Amazing and Mysterious Fish (Harper, 2010); Bird, Butterfly, Eel (Simon & Schuster, 2009); andThe Day My Mother Left (Simon & Schuster, 2007).
