2 bottles of SBC Syrah 2013 and 2 bottles of SBC Grenache 2014.

SBC Syrah 2013: "This is the first year in which we blended Syrah from Watch Hill, McGinley and Thompson vineyards. We have been sourcing Syrah from these same vineyards for over a decade. They represent warmer and cooler climate Syrah and make a beautiful and balanced wine. We co-fermented in a small amount of Viognier for added complexity, similar to the northern Rhone Côte-Rôtie region. This wine was gently destemmed then cold soaked for 4 days and fermented with gentle punch-downs. We separately fermented and barrel-aged the wine from each vineyard in all tight-grained French oak barrels with 35% new for 19 months."

SBC Grenache 2014: "Our 2014 Grenache is from the Watch Hill and Thompson vineyards. These two sites, located in the cool climate Alisos Canyon area, are always some of the last ones to be harvested. This wine was gently destemmed then cold soaked for 4 days and fermented with gentle punch-downs. We do a saignee on the fruit after 2 days and that is always a key component of our Rose. Aged in neutral French oak barrels for 22 months."
