As Above, So Below
$175Artist: Jen Zaiger
Website: www.facebook.com/ConsciousLMT
Jen is a Fort Collins native and self-taught artist. She is constantly inspired by the vast views of nature and vibrant colors that surround our beautiful city. When not helping people cope with chronic pain through massage therapy, she cares for the many exotic critters she's rescued and explores the mountains with her son.
"As Above, So Below is inspired by the parallels of the cosmos and oceans. Both have a continuum of extreme environments and pressures that limits human access, allowing them both to hold many secrets and unknowns. The bodies of water on Earth may be holding key answers about unknowns in outer space. The pulls of gravity from the sun and the moon cause the patterns of ocean tides. No doubt they work together in a greater synchronicity than we understand.
As Sir Isaac Newton once translated from the Emerald Tablet, 'Tis true without lying, certain and most true. That which is below, is like that which is above & that which is above is like that which is below.' Mixed-media art: Acrylic, epoxy resin."

Website: www.facebook.com/YourArtisinYourHeart
Patti just celebrated ten years being an acrylic, mixed-media artist! What a fantastic way to add happiness, joy and color for others!
"My colorful kitty this year was inspired by intuitive artist Flora Bowley. I love her calendar, and her March colors traveled into this creation. We've all been home a lot more this year. For our furry friends, a loving home is all they want. Smiles and big, bright eyes always say 'thank you.'"

Ode to Licorice
$500Artist: Geri Rene
Websites: Etsy, www.instagram.com/gerireneart & www.facebook.com/geriandthebeautifulthings
Geri is a self-taught artist and writer. She grew up off-grid in the high mountains. She has a painful past and uses art and words to heal herself and others.
"I painted Licorice in memory of my childhood cat whom I loved but also to remind others that black cats and dogs are often left in shelters the longest. Why?! Black cats are amazing! I added poppies and bumblebees because, well, poppies are such a jolly flower. And the bees, they thanklessly work hard for us every day."

Ode to Pretty
$140Artist: Debbie DeLong
Website: www.thetangledheart.com
Debbie is inspired by repeated patterns and elegant simplicity. She's a true lover of all animals but especially cats!
"Ode to Pretty is a tribute to a sweet kitty named Pretty, who has long since passed over the Rainbow Bridge. She was a little angel, and very loving, regal and delicate. After completing this Magnificent Beast, with its rich color of blue and fine white details, the feeling it gave me reminded me of Pretty - royal yet simply elegant. I hope you enjoy this small tribute to her."

Paws of Jupiter
$260Artist: Natasha Bodily
Websites: www.instagram.com/artbynatashahope & www.facebook.com/NatashasArtShop
Natasha got into art only about four years ago, but it has changed her life. Her art is her heart, her healing, and gift to share.
"With all my artwork, I want to create a moment of peace. I hope my beast can take the viewer into a new world. Take in a few breaths and imagine worlds unknown.
I am a dog owner. Their pure and joyful souls can take us to new places and we can see life through their vibrant spirits. I thought of the magic my dog has given my existence while I worked on this piece. And I enjoyed his presence and love licks as he 'cheered' me on."

Smile!
$220Artist: Shelby Lynne
Websites: www.facebook.com/ShakingBirdArt & www.instagram.com/ShakingBirdArt
Shelby is a Colorado artist who is proud to offer realistic portraits, pet portraits and, now, private art lessons!
"I thought it was a good time to experience some joy again! So I designed this piece with the idea of provoking feelings of happiness and contentment. Painted in acrylics on wood with a flexible varnish to protect it from dust, scuffing and humidity, this piece took several hours of work to complete. It was a lot of fun! The orange cat offsets the bluebells for a pleasing punch of color while the bright daisies are meant to add a friendly atmosphere."

Willow-Maniac
$125Artist: Zachary Carr
Website: www.CarrsCreative.com
Zachary Carr is a local Fort Collins artist born and raised along the shores of Lake Michigan. A recent transplant, he is inspired by Colorado's nature and the bevy of breweries in the area. The creative side of him blends his love of craft beer with his love of the outdoors, a passion that began when he was a young boy and Eagle Scout. He uses his keen sense of observation and humor in his art. Each of his one-of-a-kind pieces incorporates recycled material - preferably beer cartons - in a mixed-media setting and is mounted on a strong surface suitable for hanging.
"This year's piece is called Willow-Maniac, based on my brother's crazy-cool dog. It's a mixed-media piece utilizing New Belgium Starship IPA cardboard and recycled scratched CDs for shimmer. Sealed in resin."

Friends That Fill Our Hearts
$180Artist: Kaley Alie
Websites: www.kaleyalieart.com & www.instagram.com/kaleyalieart
Kaley is an acrylic artist who creates cheerfully bright art that will make you smile. She enjoys mixing her own colors and capturing the whimsy of the world with her paintbrush.
"My Magnificent Beast is filled with a cheerful array of hearts, each stamped with a paw print. This pattern represents all of the hearts and homes that are filled with companionship, smiles, and unconditional love after rescuing a dog. I was inspired to find a way to show the love and joy a dog can give. My hope is that this Magnificent Beast brings extra smiles, just like a dog does when you walk in the door."

Stardust
$500Artist: Kat Kasmarski
Websites: katkasmarskiart.etsy.com & www.instagram.com/katfleetwoodart
Kat is a painter, Shaman, & all things weird. She loves creating to help people heal.
"An ode to all creatures who leave us too soon, waiting just beyond the rainbow bridge, or rather rainbow nebula. This work is a play on the idea that we are all to be together again as energy is not created nor destroyed. I used an acrylic pour technique with hand painted details, which is simple but an affect I am fond of as it is so full of soul."
