Orange County Museum of Art
OCMA's mission: enrich the lives of a diverse and changing community through modern and contemporary art. The museum is currently operating in its temporary location in South Coast Plaza Village as it builds a permanent home at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa. Its collection forms the cornerstone of the museum and is a significant cultural resource for the community. Comprised of over 4,300 works of art, the collection's focus is on modern and contemporary art. In 2016, works from the museum's collection were seen by over 1.2 million people, in Orange County and around the world.
The inspiration for OCMA's holiday tree is from our current exhibition of Alexandra Grant. The tree is an interpretation of her work "She Said to Creon." Inspired by her works of love, the design is centered around hope. Hope gives us a positive feeling in this time of uncertainty, while also connecting to the future of building OCMA- NEW, NOW, NEXT.
The tree is styled in shades of blue and metallics - incorporating a mix of textures and patterns, custom ornaments, featuring quotes and images of hope.
Proceeds will support OCMA.
