Title: Abandoned Farmhouse

Medium: ink on paper

Size: approx. 15 x 22 inches

Artist Bio: Wil Verk is a South Florida Native who transferred to VSU after receiving his Associates Degree from Palm Beach State College, in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. His interest in the art and design field has been a long time coming, building and designing objects/ structures with LEGOĆ¢?Ts as a child was his first interaction. In high school, he enrolled in AICE International art courses, offered through Cambridge University, where his interest continued to flourish. Wil is an Interior Design Major at VSU and is one of the Annette Howell Turner Center for The Arts Scholarship recipients.

Artist Statement: When creating a piece for this project/ exhibition, I wanted to incorporate my major as well as my interest in architecture and photography. So, I created a simple line drawing of a photo I took a few years ago of an abandoned Farmhouse in Seneca, South Carolina. I used micron pens with varied thicknesses/ line weight to create the piece and chose not to include color to give it a vintage look.
