Meaningful project from Upper Elementary to beautify your patio and be treasured for years to come.

A mandala, which is Sanskrit for "circle" or "discoid object," is a geometric design that holds a great deal of symbolism in Hindu and Buddhist cultures. In their most basic form, mandalas are circles contained within a square and arranged into sections that are all organized around a single, central point.

The children have spent significant handwork time trying to create mandalas that resonate with them. Their enjoyment of this practice led to the idea of decorating a picnic table as their contribution to the gala. They think that it will be an enjoyable place to sit and eat, talk, or just reflect as they study the mandala art of their friends.
