Dogthenticity of Pawprints

It has been a long and arduous journey for the 1-year old Korean Jindo mix, GeumGang. He was born in the brutal Korean dog meat market trade and faced a short future packed into a wire cage with several other dogs. He was rescued from that life and arrived at the SPCA Cincinnati on October 23, 2020, along with 22 other dogs. Once rescued, He was flown to the United States by the Humane Society of the United States and the Humane Society International.

Though GeumGang is now in the loving and caring hands of the SPCA Cincinnati, he still has a long way to go. Due to the squalid living conditions he endured in Korea, GeumGang received extensive medical treatments and workups when he arrived here. More importantly, GeumGang has to work through the trauma of confinement and learn how to be a dog. He never had the freedom to be the puppy he is and to run and play with his friends, both furry and human, until he came to the SPCA Cincinnati.

Despite all of these hardships, GeumGang did not lose his love for life. His pawprints represent hope for the remaining animals on the farms in Korea. This is GeumGang's Dogthenticity of life.

PLEASE NOTE: The images of GeumGang are his before (his time in Korea) and after (since his has been with the SPCA)
