About the Artist: Mônica Mendes

Mônica Mendes is a native of Belo Horizonte. She has lived in Miami for many years, where she develops relevant works in the arts segment, specializing in oil painting, in the figurative style. Awarded for her works in the United States by Focus Brazil for 2 consecutive years and in art shows in Brazil, she regularly participates in several collective exhibitions, fairs and art shows around the world, such as Japan, London, France, Italy and Brazil. There are more than 24 collective exhibitions and 5 individual exhibitions, one in the United States, and 4 in Brazil. The artist has 11 publications in art magazines and books in Brazil and the United States.

This year, she has participated in the virtual exhibition of Libertas Coletivo, in the arts competition of the IX Salon of Arts of Itabirito, being selected to be part of the Book of Art of Itabirito 2020, and also in the first National Salon of Visual Arts of the Quarantine, awarded in 5th place, for the popular vote besides being selected through competitions for the art magazines: Circle Quarterly Art Review, Stoplight Contemporary Art Magazine and also for the third and fourth edition of Artavita's World Wide Art Magazine."
