Printed fabric, 21 x 19 in. each. Sara Clugage creates salon dinners based on the political and economic conditions of notable periods in history. These napkins accompanied dinners for Gilded Age New York: A Wealth Inequality Dinner, Napoleon Salon: Dinner in the First Empire, and Soviet Salon: Dinner on the Centenary of the Russian Revolution. Clugage lives in Brooklyn and is editor-in-chief of Dilettante Army, an online journal for visual culture and critical theory. In addition, she weaves and writes about weaving and is part of the Leadership Collective for the Wikipedia campaign Art+Feminism.
