At any age Flamenco is a lot more than just dance. But for children it can be a unique outlet for self expression. Flamenco 4 Kids carefully balances discipline with endless opportunities for fun and character development. Your little ones will learn the art of flamenco through imaginative play and ear training. Rhythm and dance are cleverly intertwined as children move their bodies from head to toe! Peek into a class and you may see the group learning to stand tall and proud like a King or Queen, stomping their feet in unison like a stampede of horses, or twirling in circles as they make their fingers open and rotate like a blossoming flower. The final steps are met with a triumphant shout from the group,... "olé!"

About La Magdalena Magdalena: She uses an organic system of ear training and her background in education to build age-appropriate skills in coordination and musicality. Trained in NYC and Seville, Spain, she is a teacher at heart with over 25 years experience in her craft. Magdalena can be found performing, choreographing, coaching and instructing in the Art of Flamenco all over the U.S.
