Yoga Therapy Sessions--Four

Join Parvati Scatena, CLWS parent and Birch Class Assistant for four sessions of yoga therapy.

Parvati describes the work here:

Yoga Therapy and Embodyment Therapy are powerful healing modalities.

By stimulating the body's natural ability to heal, these hands-on therapeutic sessions release core tension to facilitate mind and body wellness. One or both of these techniques are used in a session depending on the client's needs.

In Yoga Therapy the therapist places the client in carefully selected poses that create effective release with respect to each client's needs.

In Embodyment Therapy the therapist gently places her hands on key areas of the spine or other bones of the clients body as the client rests in Shavasana.

In both therapies, the propping and support means clients can rest in a very deep state of Awareness, which aids in healing and transformation. The results of these therapies are vast but to name a few:

§ Freedom from neck and back pain

§ Evenness of mind

§ Balanced immune system

§ Relief from stress related conditions.

For the seasoned Yogi, Yoga Therapy, can create a doorway into a deeper practice and deeper sense of Self.

Parvati-a natural and gifted teacher-brings her joy of life to the practice of teaching yoga. She shows the modern Yogi how to stay centered in the midst of contemporary life.

When not teaching yoga or offering sessions, Parvati enjoys serving in her community, spending time outdoors with her family, or savoring a sweet conversation with her sweet son-Raphael.

Parvati began her training with The Master Yoga Foundation in 2005 and has 1000+ hours of training. She is trained to lead yoga classes and give yoga therapy sessions.
