About the Artist

David The Blue Chip Art Star

An African-American, Born in Philadelphia, this Contemporary Artist, Painter, and Printmaker is most famous for his printmaking invention he named the pattern. David began to appreciate art at a very early age. Eventually, he had the privilege to meet and study under famed studio painter, mentor, and teacher, Richard J. Watson. Mr. Watson personally instructed David in the ways of famous fine artists such as Degas, Mattise, Picasso, Basquiat, Andy Warhol, as well as his own. Oliver Franklin former deputy of Art and Culture Dept. at Municipal Service Government in Philadelphia, gave David a commission to draw The Church of the Advocate. This is an honor that David thanks God for until this very day. In 2005 an International Fine Arts appraiser sent David's artworks to be put on Exhibit at The 15th Annual IFPDA Printfair: The Armory, Park Avenue at 67th Street in its Heyday Hosted by MOMA In New York City . David's artworks have been seen in International group exhibits in New York City, Chicago, California, and also shown in private to V.I.P.'s from near & far. David's works are also included in art fairs throughout the United States. He has become a world-renowned contemporary artist with an Abstract Expression feel. His artworks are put on Exhibit, right along with other Blue Chip Artists at Internationally Known Contemporary Art Fair. David continues to be active in the art community through his drawings and paintings as well as his prints and photos.
