Meena Hasan (born 1987, NYC) received her B.A. in Studio Art from Oberlin College in 2009 and her MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Yale School of Art in 2013, where she won the Carol Schlosberg Memorial Prize for Painting. In 2010, she was awarded the Terna Prize Affiliated Fellowship at the American Academy in Rome. She has participated in a number of group exhibitions including Sheherezade's Gift at the Center for Book Arts, NY, Stages at Zürcher Gallery, NY, Bosch Young Talent Show at The Stedelijk Museum, Den Bosch, The Netherlands and Ying/Yang at 0.0 Gallery, L.A. Recent two-person and solo exhibitions include Other Echoes Inhabit the Garden at LAUNCH F18, NYC, wallflower frieze at 6BASE, NYC and PoVs at The Peddie School's Mariboe Gallery, NJ, where she was a visiting artist and lecturer. Meena has been a Part-Time Lecturer in Painting at Rutgers University - Newark, Visiting Assistant Professor in Painting at Pratt Institute's Painting MFA program, Assistant Professor in Painting at RISD, Providence and Teaching Artist with Studio in a School, NYC. Currently, Meena is a full-time Lecturer in Painting at the School of Visual Arts at Boston University's College of Fine Arts. She is represented by LAUNCH F18 in Tribeca, NYC and lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.

Zahra Nazari was born in Hamedan, Iran to a family of architectural enthusiasts. Her brother is an architect and her father frequently brought her to architectural dig sites to admire ancient history and artifacts.

Throughout her entire life, she has pursued a career as a visual artist on the foundation of this inspiration from her youth. She left Iran in 2011 in order to pursue her master's studies in art in the US. She has since traveled the world to take inspiration from architecture in many other cultures.

In her work, the deconstructed and fragmented forms of architecture collide with themes of time, memory, erosion, and degradation. She twists and curves calligraphic lines of light and dark into translucent, living, breathing paintings and sculptures that depict dreamlike architectural structures. Her brushstrokes convey an emotional response to her personal life and current events.

Zahra Nazari has given artist talks and participated as a panelist at institutions including NYU, Columbia University, Cooper Union, and Pratt Institute in New York City. She has been interviewed by and published in Hamptons Art Hub, Hyperallergic, Whitehot Magazine, ZH Magazine, and many more. Her work is included in private and public collections throughout the US, Canada, and Asia.

Ms. Nazari has been a recipient of many awards such as: the AIM Fellowship from the Bronx Museum, NY; the Creative Engagement Grant from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, NY; an Artist Residency from Sculpture Space Residency in Utica, NY; the Mentoring Program from New York Foundation for the Arts, NY (NYFA); a Visiting Artist Fellowship from Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, MA (Mass MoCA); an Artist Residency Fellowship from The Cooper Union School of Art in New York City, and; an Artist Residency from the Vermont Studio Center, VT.
