Place your bids on this amazing Rhone Region Wine Tasting with wine extraordinaire and artist Chris Trueman, in conversation with poet Prageeta Sharma.
Chris Trueman and Prageeta Sharma will be tasting and reviewing four bottles in a Zoom recording and providing these four features to the highest bidder. The winner of this wine tasting will receive FOUR bottles of wine in the mail, including a bottle of Alain Voge Cornas Les Vielles Vignes (valued at $90) from Chris' collection, and three additional wines from Prageeta's cellar: a 2016 Domaine Serguier Chateauneuf-du-Pape ($35 value), a 2017 Chateau De Saint Cosme Le Deux Albion Cotes du Rhone ($25 value), and a Carlysle The Integral, 2016 ($47 value).
Chris Trueman began to take a serious interest in wine in 2005 when he shared a bottle of 2002 Marcassin Pinot Noir with a wine collector friend and has been exploring the wine world ever since. Over the years Chris has consistently attended wine tastings domestically and in Europe including many large scale events (before covid 19) and smaller private tastings and is currently involved in a tasting group that focuses on Burgundy,Champagne and Riesling. Some of Chris' favorite regions for wine are Burgundy, Northern Rhone in France, and Tuscany and Piedmont in Italy and high elevation wines in California.
Prageeta Sharma is a very new wine collector. She is also the author of the poetry collections Grief Sequence (Wave Books, 2019),Undergloom (Fence Books, 2013), Infamous Landscapes (Fence Books, 2007), TheOpening Question (Fence Books, 2004), which won the 2004 Fence Modern PoetsPrize, and Bliss to Fill (Subpress, 2000). She is the founder of the conference Thinking Its Presence: Race, Creative Writing, Literary Studies and Art. A recipient of the 2010 Howard Foundation Award and a finalist for the 2020 Four Quartets Prize, she has taught at the University of Montana and now teaches at Pomona College.
