Kenny Yamada

Kenny Yamada has been a freelance artist for Disney for 28 years. He has worked for Disney Theme Park Merchandise, Walt Disney Imagineering, Disney Publishing, Disney Store, Disney Cruise Line, among others. Kenny is presently featured in the Disney Gallery inside the Disney Theme Parks, with his 'letter' art of classic Disney films.

It was Kenny's lifelong dream to work for Disney, growing up in small town Lodi, California. He finally realized that dream when he submitted his portfolio to Disneyland Collateral Creative Department in 1992 and got a chance to do his first assignment. Kenny was hired to design this poster to commemorate the opening of Euro Disney near Paris, France. Kenny worked with Disney Legend Charles Boyer, who drew the initial layout, which Kenny took and drew this final concept sketch and the subsequent final airbrush painting.
