Philip Womack was introduced to a classical drawing and painting education through Ryman Arts in 2001, and further through a B.F.A. in 2006. It has been a launching point for works that explore a selective view of art history and the continued dialogue of painting. Represented by SCAPE Gallery, Corona Del Mar, CA, Womack currently lives and works in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Working primarily in acrylic paints, Womack is "? fascinated by presence, delineations, interaction, and the subsequent organization of compositions realized. Focus plays a determined role as the work is constructed into a sort of visual diary or conscious map. The results are products of imitation, meditation, and experience." His hope is that "viewers will bring their own signature history and personality to complete the 'trialogue' between creator, creation, and observer."
