Win One (1) full-length solo guitar recital featuring music and reproduction instruments from 1536 to today by musician Jack Sanders at your home.


Guitarist and luthier, Jack Sanders will perform music from the Renaissance, Baroque, and modern eras on guitars he built that are reproductions of original instruments from c.1570, 1688, and his own modern design. In addition, Sanders will offer detailed information on the instruments, history, and construction.

Honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Guitar Society, Jack Sanders' performances include the Sitka, Kapalua, Oregon Bach Festival, IM Festival of Costa Rica, Sedona Festival and he has performed with the St. Petersburg, Colorado, and Angeles String Quartets. Touring for the Piatigorsky Foundation since 2005, Sanders performs throughout the United States.

He concertized throughout the US and China with violinist Clayton Haslop and the duo recorded for Centaur and Townhall. His solo recording Just Preludes, is released by Townhall Records. Recent performances include To the Edge of Dream, for guitar and orchestra by Toru Takemitsu with the Pomona College Orchestra under the direction of Eric Lindholm in October 2019.

Teaching at Pomona and Claremont Graduate University since 1980, Sanders builds guitars and historic instruments dating from the Renaissance to the modern era. A graduate from California Institute of the Arts, he also studied with Oscar Ghiglia at Banff.
