Candy-Cane Santa Christmas Stocking Needlepoint Kit

Painted canvas needlepoint kit, 23" high x 11" wide on 12-mesh canvas (12 holes to the inch). Complete with all threads (perle cotton, 100% silk, and metallic; no wool), needle, and two needle-threaders. Front panel only -- you supply backing and lining fabrics.

Purchased new in 2013 for $605.88 (panel $382, threads $179, plus tax) from a top-notch needlepoint designer in Philadelphia, Barbara Russell.

Based in Philadelphia, in 1969 she opened Barbara Russell Designs, a retail store that became a Chestnut Hill fixture and evolved into a wholesale supplier of unique and preeminent needlework designs. She was known as "The Dog Lady of Needlepoint" due to her 140+ various dog designs. A pillar of the needlepoint arts, a creative artist of extraordinary vision, a successful entrepreneur, and a friend to many. Barbara passed away in June of 2016.
