The Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans/Oilers franchises have 10 championships and nearly 1,000 wins between them, dating to their starts in the All-America Football Conference and the AFL.

In advance this year's game between the two teams, here's a look at the two franchises by the numbers, from championships and coaches, to leading passers, runners, receivers and more. Even included is typical weather during the football season in each city - Cleveland and Nashville.

One tie the two franchises have is the NFL city shuffling that occurred during the late 1990s.

The original Browns moved to Baltimore after the 1995 season, becoming the Ravens, leaving Cleveland without a team in the NFL for three years. Meanwhile, at about the same time, the Oilers franchise moved to Tennessee, keeping the Oilers' name for two seasons before becoming the Tennessee Titans in 1999.

Franchise

Cleveland Browns (71st season): The Browns began to play in the All-America Football Conference in 1946 and joined the NFL in 1950, playing each season through 1995, then returning to the league in 1999.

Houston Oilers/Titans (60th season): The Houston Oilers began to play in the AFL in 1960, then became part of the NFL with the leagues' 1966 merger agreement, fully effective in 1970. After moving to Tennessee, the franchise played under the Tennessee Oilers name in 1997 and 1998 before becoming the Tennessee Titans.

All-time records

The Browns begin the 2019 season with an all-time record of 516-494-14. This includes a 47-4-3 record in the AAFC from 1946 through 1949.

The Tennessee Titans/Oilers franchise is 431-463-6 all-time.
