This quilt really speaks to the spirit of the Harvest Classic. That we're even able to offer it this year speaks to the perseverance, generosity, and resourcefulness of the extended family that's grown out of the Harvest Classic.

Several years ago, we were able to auction off a quilt that the Dupree family had had made out of their favorite Harvest Classic and Trials t-shirts. It was such a cool quilt, and auctioning it was such a cool experience, that we've wanted to do it again ever since. To be honest, we had a couple of false starts, couldn't find a quilter, and were beginning to wonder if we could get it done.

Then Jimmy Coffill, a friend of ours from back in the day (and I mean waay back, like when we were all skinny Austin punk-rockers) started posting up some amazing quilts he'd been making on Instagram. Turns out that Jimmy's family boasts a long line of quilters, and he'd started getting into the craft a few years ago as a way to honor that heritage.

So we reached out to Jimmy, and in the best old-school Austin punk-rock tradition, we didn't even get the question asked before he was planning how he wanted to lay it all out and make it happen.

So that's the story, and here's the quilt - Jimmy Coffill made this amazing quilt, using traditional quilting techniques that the Coffill family has passed down over the generations, turning our favorite rally t-shirt designs from over the years into an object that's really special, that really speaks to the spirit of the Rally, and something that'll warm your toes and your heart at the same time.
