Includes:

  • 6 days + 6 nights luxury accommodations for two people in Luxury Hemingway-style Tents, Heritage Safari, or Zulu Nyala Lodge
  • Three delicious meals per day, prepared by the finest international chefs
  • Two Game Viewing activities per day, guided by your own professional game rangers in open game viewing vehicles, in Zulu Nyala game reserve.

Zulu Nyala Private Game Reserve provides a unique bush experience in the heart of one of South Africa's most diverse conservation regions. Nestled between the wilderness reserves of Mkuze, Hluhluwe and St Lucia, this lush stretch of paradise is home to a wide variety of game, from the majestic elephant to rhino, buffalo, hippo, giraffe, the shy and beautiful Nyala buck that is endemic to the region and the secretive leopard.

While it's always a thrill to get up close and personal with some of the bigger game, don't underestimate the magic of some the smaller bush creatures, such as warthogs, mongoose, genets, porcupines and the ever-mischievous monkeys. The 4500 acre reserve is home to over 40 different species of animals and a munificence of birdlife.

The Heritage Safari Lodge was originally built in the 1940's as a hotel, and was a landmark pit-stop for weary travelers between Lourenço Marques and Durban. Acquired in 1996, the gracious building was lovingly restored to its original colonial grandeur, enhanced with new accommodation, and tastefully themed to highlight Zululand's unique cultural development.

With buffet-style meals in the restaurants, the wide, welcoming verandah and the "human watering hole", the pub; the warm and relaxing atmosphere is conducive to shared good times and conviviality. The sparkling pool is always inviting, and you're sure to enjoy browsing the beautifully stocked curio shop for a few authentic African memoirs.
