About the Artist:

Lauren is an Australian living in Atlanta with her husband. Her artistic focus in Australia was working on set designs and managing theatrical productions. One set design involved painting a large canvas over 15 feet long and 12 feet high. From this experience Lauren began to explore fluid art. She likes to call it Flow Motion Art. As her work has a feeling of movement and dynamics.

Lauren began to paint and explore the different techniques involved in creating her Flow Motion Art. The more she painted the more she discovered her love for color. The way color 'plays' together is part of the technique of flow motion paintings. We all know that red and blue makes purple. But what does purple, orange do together on a canvas?

The use of pouring medium allows the paints to flow across the canvas as Lauren manipulates the paint using a variety of tools from breath, gravity, high pressured air, paper towels and cups to name a few tools. Each piece is unique.
