About the Artist:
Born in Highland Park, Illinois and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, Kroeppler works in mixed media, contemporary portraiture and still life. He received his MFA in Drawing and Painting and BA in Studio Art from the Katherine K. Herberger College of Fine Art at Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona.
Kroeppler has received several awards for his work including two First Place Awards from The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art.
He continues to exhibit and lecture in local and national venues including City Gallery at Chastain Arts Center (Group Exhibition), Atlanta, Joan Derryberry Gallery, Tennessee Tech University (Solo Exhibition), Swan Coach House Gallery (Group Exhibition), Atlanta, Spiva Gallery, Missouri Southern State University Gallery (Solo exhibition), Spruill Gallery (Group Exhibition), Atlanta, The Museum of Contemporary Art Georgia (Group Exhibitions), Robert and Elaine Stein Galleries, Wright State University (Group Exhibition), Dayton, Ohio, Phoenix Art Museum (Group Exhibition), Morehead State University (Group Exhibition), Morehead, Kentucky, The Cancer Institute, St. Joseph Medical Center (Group Exhibition), Baltimore, Maryland, Orange County Center for Contemporary Art (Group Exhibition), Santa Ana, California, Burton Barr Library (Group Exhibition), Phoenix, Arizona, and Harry Wood Gallery (Solo Exhibition), Arizona State University, Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition.
In addition to numerous private collections, Kroeppler's work has been included in the collections at Missouri Southern State University, Joplin, Missouri, The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction, Bloomington, Indiana and Shemer Art Center and Museum, Phoenix, Arizona.
Karl Kroeppler is a Visiting Lecturer at Georgia State University's Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design.
