This is the trip of a lifetime! You and your hunting buddy have your choice of Archery Hunting (season is September 7th-September 26th) or rifle hunting (November) in beautiful NW Montana. Elk Creek Outfitting is located in Heron, MT and they are licensed to hunt the Cabinet Mountains (Kootenai & Lolo National Forests), as well as some amazing private land. This is a family run ranch, who have been in the outfitting business for more than 30 years. Their guides are all experienced hunters and know the elk herds and the back country very well!

This 6 day hunt for two includes an airport pickup, all meals, lodging in one of the onsite cabins, and opportunity to harvest 1 elk and 1 deer per hunter! An elk harvest is not guaranteed on this trip, but the guides will do everything in their power to give you an exceptional hunt and provide you with the best opportunities to harvest an elk. Hunter must buy a license and elk tag to hunt in Montana before arriving. Elk Creek Outfitting can direct you on how to do this.

You will start the day with a hearty buffet-style breakfast and Montana coffee in the lodge, then head out to a full day of hunting. After hunting hard all day, the main lodge and 3 cabins are great escapes for a home-away-from-home. Hot showers and home-cooked dinners are readily available. You can then relax by the toasty fire. Many stay up late to trade hunting stories, and the warm bed is very inviting after a day in the mountains.

There are plenty of opportunities to harvest other big game. Elk Creek Outfitting also offers trophy hunts for whitetail deer, mule deer, mountain lion, moose, bear, sheep, mountain goat, and buffalo.
