Donated by Trinity Lutheran Church, Brainerd, MN quilt makers.

The quilt pattern is based on a picture of a quilt called "Mountain View." The center panel was left in our quilter's closet along with 4 fat quarters of the blue, purple, green and red from which we made two borders. Cherrywood Fabrics of Brainerd, MN donated the coordinating plain "leather suede looking" fabrics of blue, lime green, and purple. The quilt was designed by Darlene Jillson and Paola (pronounced Paula) Sederquist, pieced by Darlene Jillson, and machine quilted by Paola Sederquist of Sederquilts, both of Brainerd, MN. We came up with the name "Purple Aztec" for our quilt.

Quilt size: 61 x 72 inches.

Fabrics in the quilt are all 100% cotton.

Batting is 80% cotton and 20% polyester.

Binding is machine and hand stitched.

The quilt is machine quilted.

The quilting is an edge to edge geometric design.

We named our quilt Purple Aztec.

If washed in a machine, wash on gentle cycle, use a mild detergent (I use Woolite), cold water and put a couple of Shout Color Catchers in the wash water. Cherrywood Fabrics are hand dyed. They have been washed several times; however, the colors could possibly still run. Dry in a drier on low heat or the best method is to hang up to dry.
