0Antique Ship Passage Lights (pair)
Pickup Location: Bainbridge Island - South
Condition: Used - . Two bronze passage lights from the US Comet, "Mother of all Ro/Ros."
Lights were saved with permission during shipyard refitting as a Ready Reserve vessel by the donor's brother, the Comet's chief engineer at the time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USNS_Comet_(T-AK-269) Lights have 3 bronze parts-a cage screws to a flat-bottomed base that screws to to a heavy mounting flange - and a glass dome that screws into the base. Cage is ~5" dia; ht (w/o the flange) x ~7.5"h. Flanges have not been completely stripped and permit wall mounting if desired. All electrical odds and sods are removed (but a newer hard-to-find plastic bit for rewiring is included.) The lights sit flat as shown without the mounting flange; the flat part has holes that could be used to screwed into a flat surface as well. One wire of the cage of one of these is bent.
