This 2018 Slice of Heaven is very pure; a beautiful amalgam of fruit and earth. At times, it almost feels a bit boring to describe yet another Pinot Noir's fruit as cherry, but this wine's cherry drop candy in the nose is just too definitive not to call a spade a spade.

1 bottle of 2017 Melville, Terraces, Sta. Rita Hills, Pinot Noir

Bright ruby red in color, vivid and bright fruit aromatics of tart cherry, red apple
skin and blood orange emerge up front while hints of juniper and pine mingle with richer components
of strawberry gelatin and currants. On the palate, lively acidity along with long and soft tannins
frame an elongated finish that possesses exceptional depth and concentration.

1 bottle of 2018 Melville, Sandy's Block, Sta. Rita Hills, Pinot Noir

Deep violet garnet in color, plum blossom, fresh cranberry, muddled strawberry and grilled orange peel come through initially while tender notes of fresh thyme, hibiscus tea and dried rosemary flower linger in the background. The wine possesses loads of vibrant acidity with fresh and nicely integrated tannins that provide structure and liveliness to a smooth and balanced finish.

1 bottle of 2016 Nadia, Mesa Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon

This vintage is focused and supple in nature and highlights the true uniqueness of the Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard. This is a single vineyard reserve.
