Bekky Beukes' @bekkybeukes incredible goat combines acrylics and oil paints to depict Native American symbolism and represents the tragedy of missing and murdered indigenous women and children throughout North America.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: BEKKY BEUKES, known for her emotionally charged work, was born and raised in South Africa and moved to the United States in 2014. This personal revolution allowed BEUKES the unexpected opportunity to explore her intrinsic love for painting. Intrigued by the notion of combining opposite matter, she creates unnatural, ethereal juxtapositions of form. Fascinated by the chaos the human condition inspires, BEUKES explores the relationship between light and dark through her work and submits to her creative process with intention to challenge and transcend pre-conditioned thinking.

Since 2014, BEUKES has participated in over 40 shows, won 3 awards and has been a published artist since 2015. As a founding member of The Art Asylum BEUKES immersed herself in the local art community. In 2015 she was invited to the board of directors at MF Art Gallery and was elected president of YAA (Ybor Art Association) in 2017. Her accolades include consecutive community nominations for 'Best Visual Artist', multiple features in local, online and national publications, a two-time contender for 'Secret Walls' and most recently, she was awarded the honor to participate alongside international talent as a 2018 SHINE Muralist.

After an invitation to speak at Creative Mornings on the subject of 'CHAOS' in 2018, BEUKES began her migration towards the public speaking arena utilizing this platform as an extension of her creative process. BEUKES introduces dialogue related to internal diarchy, self-made limitations and explores the process of redefining conditioned thinking. In 2019 she was invited to speak at The James Museum and challenged her audience to use fear as motivation; 'Fear Becomes North'. BEUKES closed The St Pete Art Alliance Leadership Forum series at the end of 2019, with a delivery on the subject of 'growth and the value of rebirth; from necessary periods of solitude and reflection to the final stages of transformation that signify the occurance of learning and development'
