This beautiful photo of a Hawaiian sea turtle at play was taken off the coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, and is mounted on metal. The photo was taken by Operation Freedom Paws head trainer, Dave. We think it definitely captures the Aloha Spirit.

Dave first came to OFP as a client and will always be supported as a client. He is a Navy Veteran who served in Desert Storm aboard the US Tripoli. When Dave began training at OFP, he was dealing with severe PTSD associated with his service. Dave was paired with his service dog Laddie, and together they trained for 48 weeks and became a OFP Certified Service team.

Operation Freedom Paws not only empowered Dave to gain coping skills, and dramatically improve his quality of life, it allowed him to live his purpose as OFP's Head Trainer. And now he empowers other veterans and first responders to step into the light and live their own purpose.

Dave's also been able to find the joy to explore his creativity and capture moments like Aloha Spirit Sea Turtle.
