This is an item like no other! Take your fishing experience to a higher level. The winning bidder will get the rare opportunity to be the designated angler(s) on a research trip tagging a variety of sportfish in the Gulf of Mexico. The research team of marine biologists from the Center for Sportfish Science and Conservation at the Harte Research Institute at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi carries out a variety of fish tagging research in the Gulf. Two anglers have the opportunity to help collect and tag fish such as Red Snapper and Cobia/Ling onboard the team's 36-foot Yellowfin research vessel. This is an exciting and unique all-day trip (typically lasting 8-12) 40 to 60 miles offshore in the Gulf of Mexico departing from Port Aransas, Texas. This weather-dependent trip will need to occur on a weekday during 2020-2021 on a mutually agreeable date with summer being the most favorable seas and Red Snapper season. All equipment is provided. Donated by Harte Research Institute and Center for Sportfish Science and Conservation. Same as LA 10 in Fall Cast for the Coast
