BIO

Judy Orcutt is from York, Pennsylvania. It is a lovely area surrounded by Pennsylvania Dutch influence. She now lives in Savannah, Georgia.

Most of her education involved science and math. She graduated from Temple University School of Pharmacy and practiced community pharmacy for many years.

Her family exposed her to many cultural events. She had piano lessons and played the saxophone and the flute in school. She considers herself to be a "Life Long Learner" and has taken many classes at Osher Life Long Learn Learning (OLLI) at Penn State, York.

She learned calligraphy in the 1980's at the YWCA. She practiced many hours and for a long time before she introduced QuilliGraphy her art business. She added pressed flowers to the quotes and poems and words giving her designs a unique distinctive look. All her designs are done by hand. This includes making homemade ink and pressing all the flowers. All my designs are prints of my original art. They will stay bright and beautiful. She lists the names of the botanicals used in the design on the back of the card.

She is a 23-year breast cancer survivor. Praise God for his mercy.

She also does encaustics and cold wax art. And she does fine-art photography. All her art comes from the heart and is mainly self-taught. She has taken some workshops and lessons to improve her skills.
