Janice Moore is a multifaceted expressive artist. She has a unique way of self-expression of uninhibited love for nature, people, places, and things. The impression of a spontaneous spirit belies an intense and deliberate approach to her work which reflects lyrical and emotive expression, love of color, shape and space.

Janice works in several styles. As a Visual Storyteller, her art has an underlying visual order with often complex, yet intuitive symmetry that coexist in a delicate balance. After years of study and practice, her style offers a transient experience for the viewer. Her expressive abstractions merge concrete visual elements with inner observations that she intends to transfer into a perceived reality for the viewer. Her personal style of Impressionism combines reality with a soft emotional interpretation of the chosen subject matter, and in her Whimsical Art, Janice shares with the viewer her humor and joy about her subject matter.

In 2014, following Janice's retirement from a successful career with the Federal Government in the field of International Policy, she moved from the Washington, D.C. area to York, PA, making it her permanent home. While Janice's interest and practice of art goes back to her childhood in Tennessee, she is now able to fully immerse herself into her creative art. In York, she is now a recognized artist and exhibits and sells her art. Janice has shown her early work extensively, received many awards for excellence, and many of her paintings are in private collections. Janice has studied in Washington, D.C., Newport, R.I., Hawaii, Norfolk, VA, and York, PA. She has traveled extensively throughout the World, carefully and lovingly absorbing our world's natural beauty which is intertwined in her work.
