Reindeer Bucks for COVID Relief

When the Shelter at Home order came through in March we were all in a collective state of shock. Your Waterford Senior Center was closed for all activities, classes, programs and group meals. We sadly canceled our special events like our St. Patrick's Day Lunch, Volunteer Appreciation, Mother's Day Party and the list continues. Our Adult Care closed and we canceled our Flea Market and our Enchanted Evening Event at Waterford Mott. HOWEVER when our members called the phones were answered.  Resources and referrals continued. Wellness checkups were made, telephone reassurance calls started and shopping assistance was organized. Home delivered meals increased and curbside lunches were available. Shelf-stable food boxes were distributed along with hard-to-get supplies like toilet paper and pet food. Produce box distribution and drive up socials have given us a chance to safely connect outdoors. As you plan your holiday giving please consider supporting your Waterford Senior Center. We have provided services without interruption through the COVID pandemic, and with your continued support, will remain here and continue to meet the needs of Waterford Seniors.
