Incredible selection of whiskeys...
Whistle Pig -- Aged 15 years, Value $250
One of the oldest whiskeys ever bottled is also the first WhistlePig product finished in Vermont Estate Oak. Harvested right off the farm the wood has more rings than the standard American oak used in whiskey barrels. That gives it more opportunity to impart deeper flavors during maturation. Hitting the bottle at 92-proof, the liquid is assertive and wise beyond its 15 year age statement. And it boasts a score of 97 points from Wine Enthusiast.
Hillrock Solera Aged Bourbon Whiskey, Value $110
Hillrock Estate Distillery's mission is to produce the finest hand-crafted spirits made with our own grain, floor malted, craft distilled in our copper pot still, aged in fine oak and hand bottled at our estate in the Hudson Valley Highlands. Crowned by a fine 1806 Georgian house built by a successful grain merchant and Revolutionary War Captain and meticulously restored to its original beauty, Hillrock Distillery overlooks our rolling barley fields and the distant Berkshire Mountains. Like our premier spirits, every detail refined, no expense spared, quality steeped in the tradition of 200 years of rich history.
The Honorable HighN' Wicked Whiskey, Value $90
High n' Wicked, a brand out of Jackson, Wyoming that seemingly has a strong association with domestic importer Altamar, earlier this year unveiled a rather interesting new American whiskey it has sourced, finished in former wine barrels and named "The Honorable."
Seen as the first in what will be ongoing singular expressions, "The Honorable" is a 12-year-old, 90 proof, Tennessee straight bourbon whiskey that came to market back in August. It is aged in typical, new white oak #4 char barrels for 11.8 years before being finished for four months in ex-California Cabernet Sauvignon barrels.
There are no additives and the whiskey is non-chill filtered. It has a mash bill of 84% corn, 8% rye, and 8% malt, was distilled on a continuous column still and has barrel entry/exit proofs of 115 and 107.1.
All Nations Kentucky, Value $75
Kentucky- All Nations Fine Whiskeys and Bourbons started in KY, so it only makes sense that our first straight bourbon would showcase what this is made of. The All Nations 6 Year Bourbon boasts notes of oak, honey and caramel with a long finish with notes of coffee and bananas foster.
