Companion Pair of British Artist Lionel Edwards Country Side Prints

Lionel Edwards (1878-1966) was a British artist who specialized in painting British country life. He was an especially talented painter of horses and is best known for his hunting and racing scenes. He and his wife were enthusiastic fox hunters.


A companion pair of color offset lithographs framed to match in original molding and black glass matting.

"The Old Surrey and Barstow"
Male and female riders are shown leaping a fence and a stream beyond while in pursuit of their quarry. The woman rider is sidesaddle.

"The South Staffordshire"
A red coated gentleman on horseback is surrounded by his hounds on the ground of a great estate. Male and female riders are shown crossing a fence and a stream beyond. The woman rider is sidesaddle.
