This items offers 4 tickets to the join Teddy Abrams and your Louisville Orchestra for a unique, family-friendly nature walk offering ten outdoor music stations on the beautiful grounds of Hermitage Farm on Wednesday, May 18. LO ensembles and a chamber orchestra will perform the music of Pulitzer-Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw, Brush: Music of the Woodlands. This piece was created as an experience in nature, sound, and time.
Attendees are welcome to stroll through the experience at Hermitage Farm at their own pace during the 60 minutes of continuous performance. Hermitage Farm preserves and celebrates an historic Kentucky legacy of agriculture, thoroughbred horse breeding, and exquisite dining. The beautiful grounds are preserved as an "Agriculture Conservation Easement," which ensures that the deep love of Oldham County farmland prevails over suburban development. Hermitage Farm is committed to celebrating and sharing this natural Kentucky heritage for generations to come.
Ten music stations will be positioned near the boardwalk around the rolling hills of Hermitage Farm and each station will feature small groups of musicians. The final group is a chamber orchestra with Teddy Abrams on the podium.
