Title: Denver, Sweet Puppa

Artist: Shannon Hartmann

Medium: Acrylic

Dimensions: 28"x22"

Animal depicted is Denver.

We received a call from some construction workers who had seen a dog with some very severe wounds running the streets near their worksite. When we arrived and laid eyes on him, we were shocked to say the least. It looked like he was in a dog-fight to the death, but somehow came out the other side alive. We couldn't believe he was up and walking. We named him Denver.

Once back at Stray Rescue's trauma center, our doctors started cleaning his wounds, we discovered just how deep it was. He was also covered in smaller bites ALL over his body.

We sewed the large wound up to protect his vital organs, although the skin used could die within the next few days. The biggest priority was to make sure he was protected.

It was a very long healing process for Denver, but we were determined to give this boy the life he deserved. Once he was finally healed, Denver was adopted and is living the spoiled life in his forever home.
