A call came in that a dog had given birth under an abandoned house in a small town. No one would help and a man in the neighborhood was caught shooting mom with pellets. Although the case was not in the city, we loaded up the rescue Jeep to go save her and her babies to give them a fighting chance.

Donna climbed under the shed and passed each puppy to the two helpers who were joining her for a ride-along that day. Fluffy mama was such a sweetheart and laid her head on the helpers' laps for the long drive back to Stray Rescue. Well, they fell in love and as soon as she finished nursing her babies, they adopted her! She is spoiled ROTTEN! All of her babies are adopted and the whole extended family just had a reunion at the shelter to celebrate their first birthday! It was heartwarming to see all the beautiful dogs having fun and playing together while their loving families looked on. The happiest ending ever!
