The back window of the white Bronco was tinted, but you could make out the silhouette of the dog inside. The tires were flat so it was obvious the car was not going anywhere. Some workers had spotted the dog in the car and contacted Stray Rescue.

It was too cold outside for a dog to be living in this car. She was content as long as we were by the back window. As soon as we would make our way to one of the side windows she started to show her teeth and bark.

The driver's door was not locked, so we cracked the door and tossed a

Vienna Sausage in. Thankfully she was food motivated! It took a few tosses to get her occupied and to be able to get the leash on her, but as soon as she was leashed up, we opened the door and out she jumped. She was so happy to be out of that car! We were not sure she would want to get in the jeep after being in that Bronco for who knows how long, but she jumped right in the back.

We were able to get a good look at the inside of the Bronco where she had been kept. Trash filled the floorboard by the back seat. There were half empty, plastic, soda containers, a silver dog bowl with frozen water and an ice scraper to name a few things, along with the dog.

We decided to name her "Kitty" because the entire way back to the shelter, she kept her head in an open bag of cat food.
