Pasta on the Porch

2020 was supposed to mark our "Back By Popular Demand" Pasta in the Park 2020 Fundraiser. This largely popular event was held on the Myron Stratton Campus with huge tents, pasta cook-offs, pasta teams, voting, wine, silent auction items, and a field full of fun and close friends to enjoy the day with.
However, with the global pandemic of Covid-19, our plans had to be altered. The hardships that our clients faced were daunting and harder than we could ever imagine. Picture being stuck at home with your abuser with nowhere to go, no way to get food, no way to call in, no way to get help. TESSA had to adapt and find new ways to be available to our clients outside of our normal in-person services. We implemented more phone lines for people to call into and added a chat feature, so if you couldn't talk on the phone while being stuck at home, our chat would be available to talk to an advocate discreetly.

With Pasta on the Porch, we bring the pasta to you! We hope to raise $30,000 to continue to support our clients and their children through the pandemic and through everyday life of being a survivor of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and/or human trafficking. We know, even without COVID-19, we are still needed in our community and we still need your help to help others who need us the most.
