Education is the foundation that guides youth to success. Our members' education is a priority to us and we have built a culture that ensures it is a priority to them as well. We provide an environment that adheres to the needs of our members to ensures they have the same opportunities as other youth. Our "Education First" program provides an inclusive environment that enhances and reinforces the lessons of the school day while also providing nontraditional learning opportunities for our members. "Education First" is a combination of several BGC programs proven to have success. The programs offered during this time are:

Power Hour: Our after school homework help and tutoring program that supports our youth with their educational needs to put them in the best position for success at school.

Triple play: Education for the mind and body. These daily activities extend education while incorporating movement and expression of thoughts and feelings.

Project learn: This is a variety of activities/projects that spark their interest and encourage their excitement towards learning.

"Education First" is not only an outstanding educational resource to our members but it also sets a standard. Our youth understand when they walk in the door the first activity will be educational. They understand education is their priority. They walk in our doors with their minds open and ready to learn.

Our youth often don't have the same platform for success that other youth in our community have access to. Your support will help us to continue to provide high quality programming and the resources we need to ensure our members have the same opportunity as other youth. We are looking to increase the technological equipment that our youth have access to. Your support will also allow us to provide more incentives that motivate youth within the program. We provide trips, prizes and parties for those who are active and enthusiastic about their education.
