Bluebells of Scotland or Harebell (Campanula rotundifolia)

Its small blue-violet bell-shaped flowers bloom in spurts from summer to fall. Native throughout the northern hemisphere, Harebell is very popular in Scotland and is the official county flower of Yorkshire, England. In Europe, the leaves are sometimes eaten raw in a salad. Harebell has been used in the manufacture of blue dye. Various bees enjoy the nectar of Harebell flowers.
