The Japonesque architecture, mixed with an American Craftsman style, was influenced in part by The World's Colombian Exposition of 1893. The tour which includes many buildings will culminate with a tour of The Great Room, which is one of the finest in all of the Adirondacks . Over 10 buildings , a stone bridge, rustic tennis court, & covered canoe slips, many other original features which have been painstakingly restored.
Collections to be enjoyed include rare furniture made by George Wilson, who was caretaker to Alfred Vanderbilt, along with an extensive collection of Adirondack decorative arts amassed by this devoted collector.
