About Josh:

Josh is a big horse (18 hands!) with an even bigger heart; he is truly a gentle giant. His big, slow steps make him a great horse for our led riders and his gentleness and former training as a dressage horse make him great for our independent riders. He was bottle fed as a baby, and his true passion is getting pets and hugs. It is not uncommon to look over at Josh's stall and see him standing at full attention observing the lesson; he just wants to be involved in everything!

About the Artist:

Born and raised in Upstate New York, Cailey joined the JHTR team in 2020 following graduation from the State University of New York at Cobleskill where she earned her bachelor's degree in therapeutic riding. For as far back as she can remember, Cailey has had a passion for horses and art. When she was a child, should would spend hours learning various mediums from her grandmother-- a professional painter--from painting a small birdhouse to sketching a horse for the first time. In high school, Cailey excelled in art. Through multiple courses she was given the opportunity to explore a variety of techniques and approaches. It quickly became apparent that Cailey's specialty is horse head shots using graphite pencil and charcoal. Her highly detailed, realistic portraits are both stunning and brought to life by her passion for these magnificent creatures.
