Itozurudoi TF151 has an extremely big frame, weighing 2,420 lbs. and carries early maturing traits and produce great fullblood mothers with excellent milk. He is also the best marbling bull of the Fujiyoshi bloodlines, anecdotally. By the time his progeny was tested, and his value was discovered, Itozurudoi TF151 was deceased, leaving a very limited supply of semen. Straws have sold for $9,000 per straw.
BREEDPLAN figures for Itozurudoi TF151 attest his immense regard: he is a Trait Leader and in the top 2-3% milking EBV (+8). He is in the top 1% for Marbling Fineness EBV (+0.55).
Itozurudoi TF151 is a carrier of F11, but free from all remaining known Wagyu genetic defects.
Sanjiro 3 (FB2900) is a full brother to the original Sanjirou and the highest-ranking carcass and marbling bull in the entire Wagyu breed, according to the 2017 National Wagyu Sire Summary. Like the original Sanjirou , this bull was sired by Michifuku and born to dam Suzutani. Suzutani's influence of the Wagyu breed is legendary. This coupled with the fact that Sanjiro 3's semen is rare, makes him a much sought after sire. In fact, the demand for Sanjiro 3 is starting to even surpass that of this brother! To make things even more attractive, the bottom of the Dam's side is none other than CHR Ms Itozuru Doi 367, bringing additional influences from Itozuru Doi and World K's Sanjirou.
