Wooden platter hand made by Dr. Paul DeHaan in his basement woodshop. - This beautiful platter was turned from a large locust tree that grew on West Medical Center Dr., on the campus of the former Centegra Hospital McHenry. The tree was taken down during the Rt. 31 expansion several years ago; and the trunk of the tree was pilfered by Dr. DeHaan, one of the Clinic's volunteer physician's and the former Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Centegra Health System. (The lacquered finish is intended for display, and not for exposure to moisture.) This is a stunning handmade piece of history that is one of a kind. Dimensions approx 16" x 3 1/2"

Generously made & donated by Dr. Paul DeHaan
